About us:

Canada Cafe Australia was established as a legal business name in early 2015 and has since worked towards establishing the café, working with stakeholders and from a wider range of people who supported the cafe concept.

Glenn Welldon is the Manager of Canada Cafe Australia and has worked on his project since December 2012.

Glenn is himself deaf and has been very passionate towards establishing this business and in his spare time spending time in Stand Up Paddling or Photography.

Canada Cafe Australia has been in colloboration with Parramatta City Council which provided an inital funding in May 2014 towards the development of a business plan.

As you will appreciate that this is a long journey with careful planning involved as it can be a challenging time.

Glenn is continuing to work together with the community members, stakeholders and those involved in this project.

His vision is that the Deaf managed and run café that will be set up in Sydney and be staffed by Deaf people or Children of Deaf Adults (CODA).

Our logo:

This striking maple leaf cup logo was designed by a Deaf Canadian, Vincent Dion and was adopted in April 2015.

Vincent's contribution is valuable and I wish to thank Vincent for the striking maple leaf cup design.
